Il Festival di Cannes, che si sarebbe dovuto svolgere dal 12 al 23 maggio, ha svelato la selezione ufficiale del 2020, includendo i nuovi film di Wes Anderson, Steve McQueen, Pixar, Francois Ozon, Naomi Kawase, Thomas Vinterberg e Maiwenn.
Nonostante la famosa kermesse sia stata cancellata a causa del coronavirus, Cannes ha annunciato i 56 lungometraggi che potranno vantare uno speciale bollino che li contraddistinguerà e darà loro la possibilità di avere una migliore distribuzione. Inoltre tutti questi titoli potranno partecipare e concorrere in altri festival, ad eccezione della Mostra di Venezia!
